What is Steeling? Steeling is to take a section from the rootstock plant and turn it into an independent plant or plants. the plant does not only survive in this way, but in time it becomes a plant of its own.

Why is steeling done? many plants do not produce seeds, or the seeds do not mature in our region and these seeds may vary from rootstocks many times. has been known as the most accurate method of reproducing crops since very old time. young seedlings obtained by steeling (except a few issues) bear the characteristics of rootstock plant.
